Karnataka bans usage of drinking water for Gardening
As the Bengaluru water crisis continues to worsen, the Karnataka Water Supply and Sewerage Board on Friday took a major decision and banned the usage of drinking water for car washing, gardening, construction, water fountains and road construction and maintenance. Moreover, the board also imposed a fine of Rs 5000, if the order is violated.
The development comes after the Bengaluru city district administration on Thursday issued an order fixing the price of tanker water after persistent allegations that tanker owners are extorting customers.
