The government has fixed new rules for recruitment examinations in Rajasthan. In the state, now the selection of posts like Patwari, Clerk, VDO will be done through a single examination. Recruitment to these posts will be done on the basis of merit through a common eligibility test.

The decision regarding this was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday. Now Rajasthan will have similar eligibility test on the lines of SSC. This exam will be on the lines of SSC.

There will now be a single eligibility test for different competitive examinations having the same eligibility. For the recruitment of Village Development Officer, Patwari, Ministerial Staff, now instead of separate examination, there will be one common eligibility test. Now these posts will be recruited from this one examination.

These recruitments will be done on the lines of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in the Central Government. For this, the cabinet's approval has been given to make Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services (Similar Eligibility Test) Rules, 2022.
