In Durg district, now the traffic police has started tightening the noose on those who ignore the traffic rules. Traffic Police is investigating by doing intensive checking on National Highway-53. During this period, any driver found violating the traffic rules will be punished. The traffic police will conduct intensive checking drive from Durg on NH and other Chowk intersections from Friday, 3rd June. During this, action will be taken against the drivers who do not follow the traffic rules. In view of the increasing number of road accidents in urban as well as rural areas, the police have been instructed to mark black spots and check those places. This will help in curbing speeding vehicles and road accidents.



  • Three rides in a two wheeler during checking, without helmet (especially on NH), speeding, reckless driving, drunk driving, driving without seat belt and or not following traffic signals - Action will be taken under the Motor Vehicle Act against this . Not only this, a letter will be sent to the Transport Department to cancel the driving license of such people.
