The central government will implement the new labor codes from July 1. If this happens, employees may have to work up to 12 hours a day. However, employees will have to work only 48 hours a week, that is, if they work 12 hours a day, they will have to work only four days a week. These 4 new labor codes have been prepared by merging 44 Central Labor Acts.

This will change the salary structure of most of the employees, due to increase in basic salary, PF and gratuity money will be deducted more than before. PF is based on basic salary. With the increase in PF, the take-home or salary in hand will be reduced.

After the implementation of this code, workers will be entitled to leave only after 180 days of work instead of 240. Apart from this, an employee will get at least 50% compensation for injury at the workplace. It also includes provision for maximum 48 hours of work in a week. In 2019, the limit of employees in this code was kept at 100, which has been increased to 300 in 2020.

Wage code
In this code, a provision has been made to pay minimum wages to the laborers of the whole country. Under this, the government will fix the minimum wage for the entire country.
