To accommodate the Vinayagar Chaturthi festival rush, state transport corporations will run 2,315 special buses until Sunday, in addition to regular services.

From Thursday to Saturday, 1,030 special buses will operate from Kilambakkam terminus to destinations including Tiruvannamalai, Tiruchy, and Madurai. On Sunday, 725 buses will cover routes to various cities including Coimbatore and Salem.

Special services will also include 190 buses from Koyambedu and 20 from Madhavaram to locations like Nagapattinam and Bengaluru. Additionally, 350 buses will run from Bengaluru, Tirupur, Erode, and Coimbatore to other destinations on Friday and Saturday. Return services to Chennai and Bengaluru will be available on Sunday.

With 23,514 seats booked for Friday, 6,961 for Saturday, and 21,650 for Sunday, passengers are encouraged to use online booking to secure their travel plans.
