In view of the Kaanum Pongal celebration, which is going to be from January 17, 2024, the Chennai Traffic Police has made special traffic arrangements on many roads, particularly on Kamarajar Salai.

Traffic Diversions are as follows - 
1. As far as possible, normal traffic will be allowed on Kamarajar Salai.
2. Vehicles coming from the war memorial towards the lighthouse will be allowed in
Kamarajar salai, and vehicles coming from Light house towards War memorial will be diverted at Kannaki Statue and turn left towards Bharathi salai X Bells Road jn.
3. Victoria Hostel Road will be made one way with Entry from Bharathi salai Jn and No Entry from Wallajah Salai Jn.
