Traffic diverted for CMRL Metro Station Construction Trial in Chennai
In preparation for the construction of three metro stations - Anna Flyover Metro Station, Nungambakkam Metro Station, and Sterling Road Metro Station - the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) will implement traffic diversions on a trial basis this Sunday.
Diversions:
1. Vehicles from Chetpet to Gemini Flyover will follow a one-way diversion via College Road, Haddows Road, and Uthamar Gandhi Salai.
2. Vehicles from Gemini Flyover will be redirected through Uthamar Gandhi Road and Dr. MGR Road towards Valluvar Kottam.
3. Traffic intended for Aminjikarai will be diverted at Tank Bund Road (left turn), proceeding via Nelson Manickam Road to reach Aminjikarai and other destinations.
4. Vehicles heading from Valluvar Kottam to Gemini Flyover will take a diversion at Valluvar Kottam junction, following Valluvar Kottam High Road and Uthamar Gandhi Salai.
Additional Information: All diversions on interior roads will correspond to the above-mentioned one-way routes.
