Oorum Unavum Food Festival to be held in Chennai from 5th July

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Chennai Field Office is set to host the second edition of the `Oorum Unavum` food festival at Semmozhi Park, Chennai, on the 5th, 6th, and 7th of July.  The festival, which was well-received last year, aims to provide an immersive cultural experience with this year`s theme, `Enjoyment for All`. `Oorum Unavum` will feature the rich and diverse culinary traditions of Sri Lankan Tamils and refugees from Myanmar. Attendees can look forward to sampling over 70 different types of food throughout the three-day event. The festival will be open from 10 AM to 8 PM daily, with an evening music concert to enhance the festive atmosphere. However, to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience, the festival will limit entry to 500 people per day for lunch and drinks. For those interested in attending, advance booking is required.
