The Anna Centenary Library (ACL) at Kotturpuram, initially established as a referral bibliotheca in September 2010, is set to begin lending books from March 12, marking a significant evolution in its services.

Officials have intensified preparations, readying over one lakh books for lending in the initial phase.

To cater to the expected demand, books for lending will be segregated across different sections of the library. The children`s section on the first floor, the Tamil language section on the second, and fictional books on the fourth floor will be part of the initial lending phase. Plans are in place to gradually expand lending to books on other floors in the following weeks.
