IIT Madras launches Mobile Medical Device Calibration Facility
Under its Anaivarukkum IITM initiative, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) has launched India`s first `medical devices calibration facility on wheels.`
V. Kamakoti, Director of IIT-M, emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, Accurate calibration of medical devices is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.
With rising calibration costs, this effort not only reduces expenses but also saves on transportation time and costs. It`s a step towards affordable, scalable, quality healthcare for all.
