Even as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) deferred the launch of the alignment connecting Andheri’s Gokhale bridge and CD Barfiwala flyover to July 4, confusion reigned supreme among citizens as vehicles started plying on the structure from Monday morning onwards before the civic body once again barricaded the structure to bar access to the flyover.

The civic body had earlier scheduled the opening on Monday.

Maintaining that the flyover is yet to be opened for vehicles, civic officials said some miscreants had removed the barricade and commenced unauthorised usage of the Barfiwala flyover, leading to confusion among commuters.
