The ‘electronic interlocking’ work will be done in the yard of Daund railway station in the Pune division which will begin next month.

For this, a seven-day power block will be needed and hence trains to and coming from Mumbai in South India will be cancelled. This includes the Pune-Solapur intercity as well.

During a block period, 20 trains, including intercity trains between Pune-Solapur-Pune, will be cancelled, with some important South Indian trains also being cancelled. Some trains will be diverted, and some will arrive via Kurduwadi, Latur, causing delays.
