Southern Railway has taken proactive measures to address the issue of overcrowding by introducing a special train service between Chennai Central Railway Station and Gorakhpur. 

In an official announcement, Southern Railway revealed that a one-way special train will operate from Chennai Central Railway Station to Gorakhpur Railway Station today. 

The special train, identified as 06089, is set to depart from Central Railway Station at 11:20 PM and is expected to reach Gorakhpur Railway Station by 7 AM tomorrow. Commencement of bookings for this special train has already begun, ensuring passengers a convenient and comfortable travel option.
